A little bit about us:
- Certified D.M.V Instructor
- Lessons taught in a D.M.V inspected 2014 Ford Focus
- We offer lessons 7 days a week and will pick the student up from home or from school as long as it’s within our service area.
Note: You Must Have Your Permit Before Taking Driving Lessons.
We Teach: Defensive Driving, Driver’s Responsibility and the Importance of Traffic Laws, Rules and Regulations According to the State of California and the DMV.
Our Vehicles are Equipped with a Brake Pedal on the Passenger Side for Better Control by the Instructor.
Behind the Wheel Schedule
The times for behind the wheel driving sessions will be agreed upon by the instructor, student and parent and / or guardian. The student will be picked up and returned to their home or any reasonable destination within the city. The driving lessons shall consist of 2 hour sessions, with longer sessions available upon request.
Behind the Wheel Curriculum
Some of the competencies to be mastered include:
- Steering, Speeding & Braking Control
- Lane Maintenance & Space Management
- Defensive Driving Strategies
- Right Turns at Intersections
- Left Turns at Intersections
- Lane Changing Procedures
- Parking Procedures
- Backing & U-Turns
You will learn how to react to conditions, traffic, and others on the road. By the time you complete your California driver’s training program, you will have learned and practiced the following skills:
- Basic vehicle control (starting, stopping, gaining speed, slowing, backing, turning right, turning left)
- Driving through intersection
- Switching Lanes
- Maintaining distance around the car
- Driving in traffic
- Making a U-turn
- Night driving
- Freeway driving*
- Hill parking*
- Parallel parking*
* Depending on time and drivers ability
Behind the Wheel Student Expectations
The student will be expected to successfully pass the behind the wheel driving competencies to the instructor’s satisfaction.
